Imagine thousands of people – in running shoes and wheelchairs, on surfboards and on bikes. They are athletes, entrepreneurs, cancer survivors, family and friends – all embarking on a collective journey – to find a cure for cancer.
3000 Miles to a Cure is a multi-sport, multi-legged, coast-to-coast relay event. Participants will make their way east – from LA to DC – to raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer.
At the finish, the 3 medals that have been carried from Los Angeles will be mounted in a special monument at the capitol. The finishing ceremony, symbolizing the last person to die of cancer, will be followed by speeches from both Presidential candidates and a concert.
This isn’t a race to cure one kind of cancer. It is a movement to cure it all.
We invite you to join us.
